STAR WARS DARKSTRYDER Campaign Start: Friday, 6:00 PM 'til people drop "Join the crew of the Corellian Corvette Farstar as they scour the fringes of the Empire in search of Moff Sarne and the source of DarkStryder technology" A Campaign for 5 players, each of whom will have 3 characters. Good for beginning and experienced Star Wars RPG's. See P.J. in the gaming room on Friday for details. Another fine West End Games product Neon City cyberpunk LARP Neon City is the official BayCon 99 LARP (Live Action Role-Playing game). Players can create characters from a wide variety of backgrounds within the cyberpunk genre -- fixers, corporate executives, government agents, bodyguards, lobbyists, terrorists, netrunners, reporters and gangers.

The Knights of Chaos, formed in January 1998, will be bringing as many as sixty weapon designs reflecting Oriental, European, African, Mid-Eastern, Native American and other unusual creations - such as full-sized Bat'leths and Leaf-bladed Elven-shields! They will be providing instructions on how to utilize these weapons while staying safe. There will be events including one on one sparring, three on three sparring, and a tournament! For more information, check the Knights of Chaos website at http://home.earthlink.net/~vysha/koc/ Silent Death: STOP THE FENRIS! Saturday 7:00 PM (Replacing Silent Death: "633 Squadron") Players must stop a substantial battle-cruiser model dominating the game table using the popular SILENT DEATH: THE NEXT MILLENNIUM miniatures board game system. This ship has been featured on several installments of SCI-FI VISIONS on Newark Cable Channel 6. With room for up to eight players, this gaming event will be hosted by freelance writer Leland R. Erickson, co-author of the Silent Death: Fighter Tactics Manual. No previous gaming experience required. All models and terrain will be supplied by the game master, and prizes will be provided by Iron Crown Enterprises, publishers of Silent Death: The Next Millennium. ICEHOUSE Tournament Sunday 2:00-6:00 PM Don't miss your chance to compete in the first-ever West Coast Icehouse tournament! Icehouse (an underground classic on the Eastern seaboard, as well as one of Games Magazine's top 100 picks for 1993) is a truly unique abstract strategy game, played in real-time on a free-form surface. That's right, no board, and no turnsyou've never played anything like this! The game combines strategic thinking, light diplomacy, and some hand-eye coordination. There will be a teaching session preceding the tournamenteven if you've never played before, you have an excellent chance of making the finals, or perhaps even emerging victorious! (Yes, there's swag for the winning, if you needed any more incentive.) See the Icehouse Tournament Webpage for more details. TROUBLESHOOTER ALERT! Terminate the Traitor - A PARANOIA, Long Lost Third Preview Sunday 2:00-3:00 PM Traitors have infiltrated Alpha Complex! Of course, The Computer can't have that! What? You thought The Computer was dead? Think again, because The Computer has ordered you to eliminate all the traitors. The problem is that all the traitors look like The Computer's Troubleshooters, and the Troubleshooters look like the traitors. There's only one thing to do: Eliminate everything and let The Computer sort them out. You can do it with the rules based on PARANOIA, LONG LOST THIRD, which The Computer has slated for release sometime this yearcycle! That's right, in the tradition of VAPORS DON'T SHOOT BACK, we'll be holding an event of elimination, with the grand prize being !The coveted book! Stormshooters and TroubleKnights (We're out of ash trays). This event will be held on Sunday, around 2pm, and should last about an hour. Look for flyers in the gaming room and around the con, rules are attached. We're looking for about 30 people. The Computer Deems that Good Luck is Mandatory! Silent Death: They Shall Not Pass! Sun 7:00 PM It is 9,000 years in the future, and the Karelian Republic is fighting for its life against the Galban Autocracy. An ad hoc Karelian task group must make a valiant stand against a superior Galban invasion force. With room for up to eight players, this scenario promises the usual level of gratuitous gaming violence, massive casualties, and widespread property damage BayCon attendees have come to expect from Silent Death: The Next Millennium gaming events hosted by freelance writer Leland R. Erickson. Fun for the whole family! No previous gaming experience required. All models and terrain will be supplied by the game master, and prizes will be provided by Iron crown Enterprises, publishers of Silent Death: The Next Millennium. SUPER GIANT MONSTER SHOWDOWN! : The Game Is Here! The game that simulates titanic creatures in world-shattering conflict!
Watch for demonstration games during the Baycon weekend. Times and places will be posted on the message boards and in the gaming room. Learn and play this unique, wild, and fun game. Win prizes including copies of the game itself. Prizes will be randomly awarded to the participants, you need not conquer to win! Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, Necromunda, And Other Craziness The infamous group known only as "The Guys Who Never Sleep" are returning again this year to BayCon to run virtual non stop games! So, bring your dice, bring your leads, and bring your caffeine, 'cause it ain't ever gonna end! West End Games Well, the strangeness never ends around here, and this is another example! WEST END GAMES, makers of The STAR WARS RPG, TORG RPG, Masterbook System, and PARANOIA, have sent a big box of stuff to use and hand out during the convention. One of the items is being donated to the charity auction -- a limited edition, black, hardbound, signed and numbered (#558) MasterBook System of Indiana Jones and Blood Shadows, and it looks really cool, too. The other items we got include boxed versions of different MBS games, some WEG books, and a couple of hand out flyers (including a PARANOIA adventure, hee, hee)! So we'll be figuring what exactly to do with this cache of stuff, and thanks, WEG! We're looking for someone to run a Bloodshadows campaign over the weekend. This is one of the donated West End Games items and part of their MasterBook System. If you wish to take us up on it, the game is yours at the end of the convention.
